Dell leads the way with RoHS compliance
The RoHS directive comes into force on the 1st July 2006, and is a wake up call for the electronics industry. The EU directive requires lead free electronics in PC class products as well as banning mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Dell claim that by September 2005 they will have shipped over 1 million OptiPlex GX520/620 systems which feature lead free motherboards, chassis and power supplies and also anticipate that by Q4 2005 they will be shipping over 3 million lead free motherboards per quarter.

Well, I just purchased 5 Dell Dimension B110 on
aug 02, 2006, and they are not RoHS compliant and is stated as such on my shipping confirmation.

I also just purchased the Dell B110 computer (9-6-06)which is stated not to be RoHS compliant. Should I be concerned?
