New OptiPlex range from Dell
Dell’s annual EMEA product showcase hit Monaco last Thursday & Friday and while temperatures soared to the dizzying heights of 84 degrees outside, the assembled throng of journalists and others were inside behind closed doors being shown what Dell have planned for you all in the coming months.
Recently Dell announced new models for their Dimension home PC desktop range including the latest version of the XPS gaming system – the Gen 5, now we have news of new models for the OptiPlex range of business desktops.
There are seven new chassis, all of which use BTX form factors and feature Dell’s latest Cool and Quiet technologies and something Dell call DirectDetect, a front panel that displays system health indicators including LAN activity as well as diagnostic alerts. All share a common software image and feature lead free motherboards and power supplies.
The three GX520 models replace the existing X280 range and use the latest Intel integrated graphics while the four model high performance GX620 range includes PCI-E graphics and includes a new 6ltr small format system.
