Brother goes wireless
Brother has added a collection of wireless printers to its portfolio – the top of the range one being the MFC-820CW.
Thanks to its 2.5in LCD screen you can preview photos before you decide to print. However, unlike competitor models from the likes of Epson (R340 review) and Lexmark (P6350 review) we were surprised to find you can’t perform any editing direct on the printer such as red-eye removal and cropping.
As with all Brother wireless printers, the MFC-820CW includes SES (Secure Easy Setup) to facilitate easy one-touch integration with a protected wireless network. You’ll need an SES router to take advantage of this – most Linksys models house SES.
The MFC-820CW also sports a 10-sheet auto-document feeder - something most other MFDs lack.
We’ll be getting a review sample of the MFC-820CW along with other models from the new line-up soon.
