Asus Lamboghini screams into gear
Think Lamborghini, and the image of a sexy, sleek, buttock-clenchingly
fast machine comes to mind.
Now Asus wants you to think Lamborghini, and have the image of a sexy, sleek, buttock-clenchingly fast laptop spring to mind.
The long awaited Asus Lamborghini VX1 laptop will be zooming into action in May, and the laptop does have an impressive spec.
It's an Intel core duo machine running the 2GHz T2500 CPU - not quite the fastest mobile processor available. It also comes with 1GB of memory, a 120GB hard disk drive, nVidia Geforce 7400 256MB graphics, a 15inch display and a dual layer DVD drive.
Its specs are good for a notebook, and it is a fast machine. But it isn't quite the screamingly fast machine you'd expect of a Lamboghini. To achieve that, it would end up weighing more, but then again, neither is this notebook super light.
It weighs 2.36kg and has a battery life of around three hours, which is very average. And at £1,900, it picks a pretty sizable hole in your pocket.
That said, it looks good, and will appeal to the image conscious. And for many of us, this will be the only time we can ever honestly say 'I've just crashed my Lamborghini'.
