Ulead launches VideoStudio 10
Ulead has just announced the latest version of its VideoStudio package.
The interface hasn't changed much in version 10, but there are some interesting new features including a Dolby 5.1 tool. This allows you to mimic Hollywood movies and create your own surround sound audio tracks.
Unlike with DVD MovieFactory 5, which was launched a couple of weeks back, Ulead Video Studio 10 has no mention of Blu-ray support.
It was forced to remove all reference to Blu-ray from DVD MovieFactory 5 after Blu-ray complained that since a specification hadn't been released for Blu-ray it couldn't claim to be compatible.
However, VideoStudio 10 does have support for HD-DVD.
A copy of WinDVD 7 is also thrown in, as is an mpeg4 code, which allows you to export video direct to your Video iPod.
The Plus version will retail for £59.99, while the standard version is £20 cheaper but you miss out on the 5.1 audio function, WinDVD 7 and mpeg4 support.
You'll be able to buy VideoStudio 10 from Ulead's site tomorrow, but it won't hit the high-street until June.
We'll have a full review for you next week.
