Scan promises zero dead pixels on Lucoms monitors
There's been a big debate in our PCW Interactive blog about the dead pixel policies of many TFT monitor makers.
Many readers - righty in our view - believe it unacceptable that many companies won't replace new monitors if they have a dead pixel. A few guarantee zero defects, and Scan has a TFT coming out that joins that rank.
Branded Lucoms, but actually built by Daewoo, there are two models, a 17in at £149, and a 19in costing £199.
As well as no dead pixels, they have a response time of 8ms, a DVI port and built in speakers. They also swivel between a landscape and portrait view.
Their styling is a matter of taste - they very much follow the Apple white trend - but are cheap considering what you get.
Picture quality will dictate if these are a bargain or not, and we're getting one in for review to test that.
