Moduslink responds to Vista criticism
Moduslink has denied delays in getting Windows Vista upgrade CDs to customers is its fault, instead claiming computer manufacturers are responsible for the 4-8 week delivery time.
I asked Moduslink why eligible Vista express upgrade customers haven't been receiving their CDs and Christine Pothier, marketing and communications manager for Moduslink said: "There seems to be some confusion in the market as to the delivery date.
"We are sending out the product; the delivery time frame is 4-8 weeks - that was a timeframe set by the individual OEMs [original equipment manufacturers]. Our customers should receive the product 4-8 weeks after the general date [Vista launch date]."
When asked about customers being charged multiple times Pothier said "we don't charge any monies until the product ships to the customer" and she said that taking credit card details was just a "reservation" until shipment.
So in a nutshell, Moduslink claims to be not charging customers until 4-8 weeks after January 30th, the Vista launch day, which should mean the very first express upgrade customers should start getting their Vista CDs between February 27th and March 27th.
On the issue of customers being charged multiple times Pothier said "there's nothing wrong with the system; the system is fine" and she went on to say: "What we have seen in some instances that if customers use the wrong address, different from what's held by the bank, then the authorisation process will fail."
When asked why the Moduslink telephone line went down in the first couple of days Pothier responded: "I don't have any specific information on that going down. We are aware that we have had extremely high volumes of calls following the launch. We regret obviously any delays to customers."
Moduslink denied it was ill-prepared for the launch Pothier said: "The volume is extremely high. The volume itself was anticipated but there were some specifically high spikes."
She went on to say additional support staff have been hired and blamed the high volume of calls on customers ringing up about maters unrelated to the ordering process, but still regarding Windows Vista.
When asked about some customers having their Windows XP certificate of authenticity (COA) rejected by Moduslink's system, Pothier said: "At one point some customers were having a problem. The COA was temporarily locked if there was an interruption in [internet] connectivity - the COA would have been locked before the application process was complete."
However she went on to say "we did make some adjustments there" and that it is not a problem for customers anymore. She agreed that customers should try Moduslink's website again if their COA was rejected.
Customer complaints have been widespread following Moduslink's European telephone lines crashing for more than 24 hours following the Vista launch. Dell and Toshiba also had problems but Dell went on to apologise for the difficulties.
Update 8/03/07: Microsoft has apologised for the delays customers have been experiencing over this fiasco. In an interview with PCW Microsoft wouldn't say if Moduslink had done a good or bad job distributing Vista disks. It is also happy about the fees retailers are charging for the 'free' upgrade.

Modulink what a load of crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your site was and still is a total night mare to order Vista express.
And Microsoft for god sake take Moduslink of the case!!!! they are giving you very bad press.

I started the order process in Dec and have yet to get my COA unlocked. HP told me not to call then it was no tthere problem. It was nice of Dell to apologize. I should have got a Dell

I am having major problems with moduslink, they claim not to have recieved proof of purchase, I sent it with my cheque in dec, they cashed the cheque, so must have recieved the proof of purchase, I have now emailed it twice but they still claim not to have recieved it. Total joke. Seriously thinking of switching away from microsoft for good.

I purchased a full-scale (high end) Toshiba notebook 7 days ago, and after that tried many times to order the Windows Vista. But Moduslink does not accept my COA. Now Moduslink says, my COA will be validated in June this year and I will not be able to proceed with the upgrade. What a joke! I am not happy.

I said it in another article and I'll say it here: we need to get together and form a class action lawsuit. I'm in the US so if anyone from the US comes here to read any articles, feel free to email me to discuss all this. I've had it with Moduslink, their lies, and their horrible customer service.

I to placed an order on the 3/2/07 after buying a new acer laptop. I had no problems entering all the relivent details and received a confirmation email straight away. the problem im having is like many others. I have sent proof of purchase via email. I have emailed and tried to phone to ask them to confirm they received it and to find out if there is anything else that i needed to do to complete my part of the upgrade process. first off i kept getting automated emails with no information concerning my querys. Eventully i received one saying they have not received my proof of purchase. so i emailed it again and am currently awaiting to see what happens this time. No money has been taken as yet so thats a plus. Although i have read somewhere else that the moduslink web site does not accept debit card payment eventhough it has the option to do so. Anyone else heard this or know if this is true???? I think the biggest problem is not knowing if you have completed everything and just waiting for delivery of weather there is something you have not done which is holding things up.
Starting to think microsoft got it wrong with this distribution setup and should of given the contract to a proffesional outfit. Maybe ill just stick with XP for now.

I've had problems with Moduslink, too. My first order said POP/COA validated, then the next day it said "order canceled." I wrote them and called them. The telephone service lied saying someone would get back to me. I eventually got a response from the e-mail I sent saying to submit a new order.
Luckily, my new order went through, now it says that shipping date is "TBA" and to check back in 2-3 weeks. What rubbish!
I'm in the US. I recommend contacting the Better Business Bureau AND your state's attorney general. Each have methods to deal with this situation. A class action wouldn't hurt either.
Thanks and good luck.

Same as Frederick above. Geek Squad fills out the paperwork and get a letter back saying No order can be found. Even the url http://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista/Default.aspx doesn't return back with anything.
Yes to Class Action.

Have been trying to get the express upgrade since Dec 26,2006. No Luck. Moduslink seems to be intolerant about their shortcomings. Transaction always fails and I have already talked to a live person at least 3 times during the 2 month period, on every occasion, they will extract the same info from me and promise that somebody will get hold of me. That never happened. It is almost March now and haven't gotten any positive news yet.It seems like they are doing this intentionally and never will be sending any express upgrade CDs.

I finally submitted my vista upgrade order on 19th December after trying for a month. I got an email with an order confirmation on that date. I chose to submit payment by wire transfer as I could not get my credit card accepted.
I emailed them my upgrade form and proof or purchase on December 20th and made the payment on January 2nd. I after recieving no confirmation from moduslink of the reciept of payment and POP I emailed them on January 8th asking them to confirm I got this email back on Jan 15th
Thank you for contacting the Upgrade Redemption Support Center.
We would like to inform you that due to the great amount of Proof of Purchases we have received, we will first send a confirmation email after we have shipped your order.
For any inconvenience this may cause we apologize.
Order says COA vaildated.
Posted by Rich | February 22, 2007 9:59 AM
I ordered my vista upgrade on-line and tried to use my debit card and it did not work.
I got the COA ID unlocked and did it again but chose the wire transfer option.
Then I realised I should have chosen the cheque option so I called and asked if OK to send a cheque and they said yes.
So I did this with the proof of purchace.
They took ages to take the cheque but did eventually but no sign of Vista.
I checked the order on the on-line checking system and my order is there and it says VALIDATED but there is no delivery date.
There is now no answer when I call.
So I emailed several times and they just keep replying with a standard email that does not answer my question at all which is WHEN will I get it.
I emailed them to tell them this and as yet no reply about a week later.
I have paid for it but and they have taken the money, and validated it but have not shipped my order yet.
Very frustrating. I can only hiope i'll get it eventually.

Been dealing with Moduslink for over a month now. I keep getting conflicting e-mails on the status of my order. The first 6 times I submitted my POP in .pdf & .doc form they claimed they couldn't open the attachment! I have filed a report with the BBB, has anyone started a class action yet? I would love to participate in it!!
Posted by Chris | February 24, 2007 2:54 PM
Count me in on a class action suit. I have spent hours on hold with Moduslink, HP and Microsoft. I even called Moduslink corporate and actually talked to a Michael Powderly who said he would get back to me by Tuesday. (Remember Popeye's friend) It is now Saturday two weeks later.

I understand the challenge as to vista, do not like it but... Anyway what about office 2007 It should work on XP.. But still not shipped
Posted by Office also | February 25, 2007 1:01 AM
They really dropped the ball on this. The "express upgrade" sounded like it would be fast and expedient, until they got our money. Now manufacturers are offering $150 off on units with Vista already installed. So a lot of us paid a lot more than we had to, propping up their 2006 sales figures, and still don't have the product. They could have just authorized the computer sellers to send us the upgrades, since they all ready have a retail distribution system. This advertised upgrade, in a timely manner was an "express" condition of our purchase which they have not fulfilled. If I don't have my upgrade by the 2nd week of March, I will seek a full refund and return.
Posted by Al V | February 26, 2007 6:51 AM
I just tried to upgrade mine a few minutes ago, and ran into the "unrecoverable" error. It took my credit card information, but didn't issue the Order Confirmation Number. I tried the process again, but the XP Certificate of Authenticity Number can no longer be used. Moduslink, your problems still exist!!!! I am going to wait a couple of hours and try again. You'd better release my COA number by then.
Posted by Tom | February 27, 2007 1:41 AM
ModusLink are not fit for this task and they should be removed immediately. MS need to step in and sort this out. I have been trying for 6 weeks now to get multiple Vista and Office upgrades with no joy.
ModusLink please admit you can't cope with it, and give the job to a company that can handle such volumes. You should stick to your consulting. You're a disgrace and an embarassment.

ModusLink, I am coming to hunt you down like the dogs you are.
Posted by GrimReaper | February 27, 2007 9:14 AM
I purchased HP notebook with Windows XP mediacenter and was told that you will get Vista Upgrade in 4-6 weeks.
But looking at the kind of service Moduslink has, it seems the choise of buying HP was WRONG!!
I should have bought Dell which they are selling with VISTA loaded, so no need for upgrade.
Suggest for any new purchaser of PC/Notebooks.. dont go for HP Vista Capable PC/Notebooks... bye one which has got VISTA already loaded... go for DELL.... HP Wake up...you should take a hit by this..by all means.... HATE YOU HP!!!!!!!

My story..
I bought laptop in HP online Story, default come with WinXP Home, but I hose WinXP Pro for extra $60 because I want to have Vista Business. There is no date when they will send me the new system, just "Express Upgrade". This is part of HP Real-time Chat Transcript (11/15/06):
[Me]
did you known when Vista upgrade program will be start?
...[cut]...
Kris
All the Notebooks purchased after October will qualify for this offer.
Kris
However, the program starts in mid november
...[cut]
We're all known that Vista start on 1/30/07, so I expect to have my new system few weeks after that date. But I was wrong. I do everything that should I do to get Vista, I have got email from Moduslink on 12/12/06 that - order accepted or verified or something. my status on they site was COA validated. I was thinking that everything is OK, but somdey they change my status to COA validated, send POP (or something). What's going on. I was send my COA and POP in one PDF file, so if they saw my COA and verified it, they must saw my POP to! I send again email with the same PDF file. Next day I have got email with information Your validation is now complete. But that was 2/10/07! Next day I was check my status on the site ad saw that estimated order (or something that) shipped Feb 7! But few days later my order status changed again to:
Order Status: Order awaiting shipment
Shipping Date: TBD. Check back in 1-2 weeks for more information
then status changed again to:
Order Status: Order awaiting shipment
Shipping Date: TBD. Check back in 2-3 weeks for more information
So all they do now they just to count "weeks" in shipping date! This is ridiculous! There is no way to get back by 60 bucks. Someone should eliminate that company for a while.
Sorry for my English.

I've been trying since Dec. 27 to order for my HP Pavillion yet they haven't been able to validate my COa, even after 10 emails and 3 phone calls claiming they will phone me back.
I hope Modus Link burns to the ground.

I carefully followed the instructions (which involve noticing that it will be many weeks after the Jan 31 release date before the product ships). I attempted and succeeded at getting my number on Jan 27, apparently some performance issues of the moduslink site had been resolved by then. I have checked my status daily and found the site always performing. Nervously waiting three weeks for my "POP validated", I finally sent one courteous email and received a courteous reply the next day. 30 days from date of post I have now received my "POP/COA validated" and an email saying it will ship within 4-6 weeks. Elsewhere I have read that I should expect this to arrive within a week from this point. I'm convinced people are realizing that a watched pot does not boil. I wonder how slowly the work progresses at moduslink due to too much eager contact from people sending duplicate POP and hassling phone calls. They have performed as promised in my case, although I would hardly call this an express anything and the documentation and anxiety hurdles have made me certain this was the dumbest way I could upgrade.
Posted by shelded | March 2, 2007 3:11 AM
Bought an acer laptop in mid Jan, did the express upgrade thing ok, I had an email on 3/2/07 telling me that my COA/POP had been validated. Got another email on 28/02/07 telling me the same thing and I should recieve it within 4-6 weeks. Bastards!
Posted by Jason | March 2, 2007 12:13 PM
bought HP laptop in january, aplied for the upgrade- fine, they then sent me an email saying COA hadnt been validated, emailed them back asking wot that meant ?? they sent one back saying it had been locked, still had no idea, then they sent me an email saying where was my pop, figured out wot i was meant to do and emailed it to them, now m waiting for them to validate everything but when i log onto there web site with my coa, order number or email address it says cannot located order or COA - frustrating ??? getting well hacked off and im sure theyve taken my money already.
Posted by Ric | March 2, 2007 6:02 PM
there is nothing further I can add that people have not said already. Here in the uk the normal waiting time for a product arriving by post is WITHIN 28 days having said that large companys like qvc ideal world or argos usually deliver within 10 days! any company that conducts its buisiness in such a way deserves to go OUT OF BUISINESS and i would like to join you my friends in a call for class action

I ordered Vista on 24/01/07 - Had no problems with the site but no delevery date has been given, After 3 emails, I finally got a responce basicly saying "we're on it, please be patent"..
Why do they not simply offer this as a download? Would that not ease the problems?
Posted by Durrson | March 4, 2007 9:49 AM
Same thing with me, sent everything in in Dec. just received a letter with Order not found, what's going on. Best should be responsible for sending the cd's out to their customers or HP..
Posted by June | March 5, 2007 11:53 PM
Update of my post of 2 Mar. My daily status check reveals I have now reached "Order is approved" and I expect to receive this well within the promised 4-6 weeks. This is even better than the "6-8 weeks" specified on the upgrade redemption form. I think some of you blokes expected the product to mail on 30 Jan or the day they got your paperwork? This is an outsourced REBATE FULFILLMENT process, when have rebates ever not had you wait X weeks? This is not a lack of compliance, just a plain lack of customer empathy.

Ordered Vista in feb 07. Site crashed before confirmation. When I tried to reorder, order was confirmed. Asked for proof of purchase and copy of order confirmation. Order was not confirmed, so I can't send copy. Catch 22.
Posted by LINDA FLETCHER | March 6, 2007 10:13 AM
Ordered my two copies Mid December, had the normal payment problems with my Debit Card, COA'S reset after phone call, emails confirming order, then COA/POP Validated on Both orders. Nothing has changed now since late December despite several emails & a Fax. A simple message on the Website would help to clear things up!
Posted by Paul Reeve | March 6, 2007 11:39 AM
Despite having been COA & Proof of Purchase Validated since early January I have today received emails in response from my Fax; they say my proof of purchase is now validated (funny thought they already had been!) & to expect delivery in 6-8 Weeks BUT if not here prior to May 1st to email them as it is unlikely I will be able to get them after that date! for crying out loud Microsoft get a grip of Moduslink! while I still have some hair left!
Posted by Paul Reeve | March 6, 2007 2:37 PM
Anyone in the situation Linda Fletcher described should be able to retry getting the confirmation number. (That's not a Catch-22, you have a prescribed solution available.) The wacky site has been well-documented but it does, after all, ultimately work. If you wait for your automatic reset or if you phone/email them to reset, you should succeed.

what can I say about this outfit......bought my acer laptop in december tried many times eventually I have COA validated now Im expected to wait 4-6 six weeks for my vista tried to return the laptop to Comet.....refused point blank........phoned Acer not their problem as stated before we all propped up the 06 sale figures......might try the Ombudsman if my copy isnt with me before the end of the month

Moduslink is disgusting dumb website. The process is so manual, involving so much e-mailing, scanning, corrections, and the dumb site. All feels like a big black hole. There isn't even a decent status information on the order page. It was showing me "COA validated" for a long time till I blindly resent the purchase reciept the second time. Now it says POP/COA validated. Is it done? I have no way to know!! The time I have spent on this damn thing would have paid for much more that a free Vista.
Posted by Sunil | March 7, 2007 8:07 PM
i sent my POP on the 4th of jan after applying on the 20something of december, i waited, phoned, emailed yet my pop was nowhere to be seen finally on the 23rd of feb i get confirmation of my pop thats 8 weeks more or less to validate my pop, now bear in mind the order is express and should take 4-6 weeks, well i have to wait 4-6weeks from the 23rd of feb so in all thats gotta be atleast 12-14weeks in total! just plain ridiculous i would love to join in on spanking the arse off this company legally its TRADE DESCRIPTIONS!! they could have validated our POP's IN JANUARY BEFORE RELEASE and we could all have had our vista's by now LETS SUE MODUSLINK

Someone known what does it mean "Order sent to Back office"? I'm not English.
Thanks for A!

Modus asked for another copy of my proof of purchase even though this was emailed when I registered for the upgrade. I had to fax the pop and coa for a second time to The Netherlands. I have had no email or telephone reply. Like everyone else the lack of information is the worst. why don't they do like they did with service pack 2 send it to the retail stores for them to give out to the customers.
Posted by kenneth sparkes | March 9, 2007 12:07 AM
PAW in English we call it clap trap... it means nothing but makes you think that the process has moved on.
I don't accept any of Moduslink's excuses... how is it that you can buy Vista on a new PC today but my upgrade ordered 3 months ago hasn't arrived yet?
Absolute rubbish.

I own a Gateway. Today the status changed after a month on being at POP/COA Verified to Order Sent TO Back Office, to now 'Order Received'! It is crazy! I think order received means its completely over, as in - I have to start over. Someone let me know at the email if they have received the same wave of status changes

Agree with most of you here. Did the process in Jan 05th and only today did my order change to 'approved'. It doesnt help going down town and looking at all the laptops that have VISTA running. Next time i'll wait I think.

What a load of **** Modus Link is. I ordered Jan 20 something for my Asus notebook after my previous one was stolen and wanted to pay by deibit card but was unable to beacause it had an unrecoverable error so ended up sending a cheque off recorded delivery which was a good thing because they couldnt tell me if they had received it.
Order status is COA Validated. I called Modus Link and they told me i am waiting in the que for my POP to be validated and that i should wait 2 weeks.
Im all for a class action.
Im disgusted that i bought my notebook in the Jan sales in such a hurry hoping to get Vista by end of Feb at the latest and were now in March where simular notebooks to mine already come loaded with it.
Sue there asses to the stone age if Microsoft doesnt want to do anything about. We all know they know the current situation but dont want to look like dumb asses and probably arent even bothered beacause were too small of an amount for there time.

Has anybody actually received the upgrade yet?
I bought my pavilion notebook on christmas day and didnt get round to doing the express upgrade till mid february. It is now mid march and i havent had 1 single email back confirming anything. And can someone tell me why it's called an 'express' upgrade when it takes 4-6 weeks to arrive?
thats just taking the piss.

I bought a HP computer in December. It came with the promise of a free upgrade to vista, with a small charge. Thats fine by me. As far as I'm concerned HP promised the upgrade and just uses modus link to distribute the disks.
I have emailed HP and expressed my displeasure, well I told them I would never buy any of their products after this fiasco and I won't.
I think some of the big manufacturers have shot themselves in the foot after this c*ckup.
Posted by Grant | March 11, 2007 7:48 PM
Put it simply legal action should be taken against moduslink.
The company is a complete disgrace, Ive been waiting 4 months now and havent received a single e-mail, calling them is a dead end with their pathetic customer service.
This is ruining Microsofts image really at the end of the day which to be honest isnt really fair.
Posted by Alastair | March 11, 2007 11:27 PM
This is beyond the pale!
I sent in - by physical mail - all required forms including POP and serialized upgrade certificate - in DECEMBER.
Months pass. Any email is greeted with robotic answers to nonquestions - and then an out-of-the-blue request for all the documents AGAIN! It's a good job I kept copies of the originals.
Order finally staggered to "Order is approved" ... but that was weeks ago.
This is beyond terrible customer service; I just went out and bought a copy of Vista Ultimate (non upgrade) because I think this will never be done.
Moduslink can just go ***** themselves. There is an ugly mouldy taste of a dead rat here. Microsoft, I'm sure, is pleased too.

You describe here some of the reasons why people (also major companies as well as cities in Europe) are moving to Linux.
No cost to get the operating system and a great selection of programs. Get it when you want all for the price of a magazine or download from the Internet.
What have you got to loose?
Try, for example http://www.ubuntu.com/

Really disappointed about Moduslink also, it's real crap!
After having my COA number refused, it's finally ok.
Then no useful information on their website to really understand the order status. I wish I had wait to buy my a laptop with Vista installed instead of waiting for the upgrade.
I wouldn't recommend Moduslink company at all :(

Mass rip off!
FREE upgrade my ass!
Still waiting and modustink detail I'll be charged £59!! I can buy it on line for that!! AND not have to wait 2 months. Mr Gates - you should be held accountable!

The WOW starts when!?
Still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update of my post of 6 Mar. RECEIVED TODAY!! This is 7.5 weeks from my mailing the form in. It was within the "6-8 weeks" specified on the upgrade redemption form. If you have not gotten your confirmation number online yet, time is running out to get it in. Follow fine print carefully. They did their task as agreed, though not within our hoped timeframe.

My status has changed from COA/POP Validated to Order Received. my order is going backwards. Moduslink always answer emails with mumbo jumbo and never answer what you are asking them. does anyone know how to sue these people?

My status also has changed from COA/POP Validated to Order Received. What's going on? Moduslink are bunch of idiots!

Just spoke to a nice lady at Moduslink who told me that "Order Received" means I should get my vista in a couple of weeks

Things are looking up... i hope. Just received an email today saying my order has been shipped and i should receive it in within 3 weeks???? Im glad that things have been sortted out but 3 weeks???? i work in distribution and i dont know of any courrier that takes 3 weeks to deliver something. For the £15 shipping fee i could get a package from the uk to anywhere in the EU next day. Oh well just have to see when it turns up and hope that its not just a scam by moduslink to get people off their backs and give them a bit of time to catch up. Today is the 15/03/07 so ill let you all know how long it takes to arrive. Hope others start getting more info and luck with there orders soon

Some of you have received confirmation that your copies of Vista are about to or have been shipped? While I am happy for you, I am so jealous! For the last 6 weeks, I have gotten the "Please wait 2-3 weeks" message when checking the status. When I have emailed this stupid company, asking if there was a problem with my order as I never did have to send in proof of purchase, I get the same generic "Please wait 4-6 weeks for delivery". Uh...it's been 4-6 weeks since Vista came out and no DVD! I got my HP PC on 1/12/07 but should have waited 2 1/2 weeks and I would be a happy camper now, not ticked off at Microsoft!
Posted by Chris | March 15, 2007 7:23 PM
update;just recieved vista disc today , been waiting nearly 7 week , so not so bad , its booked in for installing on monday ( not taking any chances )so when it is installed ill let you all know if its wow or not
Posted by neil | March 15, 2007 10:48 PM
If everyone who posts that they have received the Vista disc could include in the post when they registered for the "express" upgrade, that would be great. It would hopefully give some hope to those of us who have been waiting 2 months or more to get past the "please wait 2-3 weeks for an update" stage.

My order was green-lighted back in mid-January and here I am still waiting! Seriously, how long does it take to slap a stamp on a box and send it out? I really hope someone out there files a class-action suit against Microsoft and Moduslink because this is totally bogus!
Posted by Hugh | March 16, 2007 12:40 AM
From moduslink.com: "For more than 20 years, ModusLink’s extensive expertise, commitment to quality, and customer focus have made us the vendor of choice for many of the world’s leading technology companies." What a load of bollocks!

I registered on ec 30, 2006 and still have the COA validated on my status. They were "nice" enough to send me a letter stating they have not received my POP. This whole process is completely out of control. I am taking the PC back to Best Buy in the morning and telling them I want either an exchange or a refund since I have not received what was promised when purchasing the machine.

I've not had any probems per say, just a terrible lack of information. My software was dispatched 8th March so I should receive it any time from now. Do I think Modus Link are a good company? No. Do I think it's worth all this hassel? Most definitely not. Either they should offer a download OR give you a voucher so you can just walk into the store you bough your system from and get a copy straight away. Modus Link I'm affraid are not capable of good customer support and their methods lead a lot to be desired. Excuses of not being prepared are nonsense. This 'free' upgrade is only available to a limited number of people. There is no excuse. I sincerely hope I never have to deal with this company again.
And what someone else said about the postage costs is correct. £15 would easily get a package delivered next day anywhere in europe.

I have been wating for over two months now for moduslink to unlock my coa number. I have had several messages saying they are going to get ahold of microsoft to unlock code but I never receive a response that it has been unlocked. I have emailed my proff of puchase twice and faxed once. I have been asked for my purchase date coa# etc. twice even though all they had to do is scroll down and they would have seen it from the first time they asked. So for the people who say just be patient it will come. I would like to know how it is coming if they can't even do a simple thing as unlock my coa # so I can put in my order. Then I get the emails ssaying I need to put in an order from moduslink and I email them back saying I would love to if you could get my coa# unlocked and they would know that again if they just scrolled down the page and read the corresponding emails. So I am ready for a class action suit and I have kept all my emails in case it has to come to that.

well, i've gone through all the problems these past couple of months... but last week i checked the status of my order and it was sent on the 8th of March... i finally got a USPS confirmation number and that stated it was delivered yesterday, March 16th and 4:07p.m.
but to my surprise... its not in my mailbox nor is it in the receiving bay of my building... so a few things could have happened... the mail man stole my copy... or it got lost in the mail... or they are jsut a bunch a f**king liars...
ugh!!! the frustration continues!!!
good luck with all your upgrades... this sh*t sucks!

I bought my computer in October. I had to wait until December to submit my information for my "free" upgrade.
I expected to receive my upgrade upon release. When it did not come I asked when I should expect it, and was told that I should get it 4-6 weeks after release.
on week 7 I responded that I still did not get it.
I discovered that Moduslink has a warehouse right next door to where I work. (You have to drive around to the back of the building to see the sign. Go figure!) I spoke with a represenative that assured me that he would look into it for me. that afternoon I received an email that they would start shipping on March 26. (9 weeks after release)they said I should receive it 4-6 weeks after that.
This is my current plan of action:
Contact the store that I purchased my computer from, Microsoft, and the manufacturer of my computerand file a complaint with them, to have something in writing from each of them.
After I receive a response, and assuming that I still have not received my upgrade, I will file a complaint with the department of consumer affairs in the state I live in against all four. (The Federal Trade Comission is useless)
At that point I will find a Lawyer, and contact the media to try and get this more exposure.
Everyone that is haveing trouble needs to do the same. that is the only way we will get what we were promised.

YOU ARE ALL LUCKY to NOT GET the Vista upgrade.
The OS is as worthless as Moduslink. Save yourself some trouble and be thankful your PC came with a GOOD OS - Windows XP.
Stick with XP.
If you must, only install Vista in dual-boot environment, because guaranteed you will have trouble with it and will be thankful that you didn't buy a PC with ONLY sucky Vista.
Posted by Lucky | March 19, 2007 4:21 AM
I have heard good and bad things about Vista. However, the reason I wouldn't install Vista would be mine and not because some idiotic company is sitting on DVDs that should have shipped weeks ago and a company that cannot deliver what was promised.

A blessing in disguise - I also ordered my Vista upgrade after navigating thru Moduslink's disgraceful website - 8 weeks later and guess what - nothing. The blessing - by the time VISTA arrives microsoft will have discovered the 10 million bugs in the operating system and will have informed users to download the upteenth upgrade - we'll have to do it once, albeit a massive 10Gb download!!! Twats, all of them - do your job properly - use the bloody technology that makes all of this easy and stop blaming everyone else

I bought 3/10/2007 Acer laptop with Windows XP Media Center to my daughter. Today I finally got confirmation of order but without shipping date. After dealing hours with Moduslink which cannot open .jpg or .pdf files as proof of purchase properly I must admit that I should have bought an Apple iBook instead. This has been very frustrating and humiliating prosess.

UPDATE
A few days back I said they had despatched my Vista upgrade? Not so it seems. On the 8th March they said it had been despatched but it turns out it hasnt. According to the latest Modus Link email they will send me yet another flipping email to confirm that the courier company have my copy and what my tracking number will be.
Honestly, this company is utterly hopeless. It would have been infinitely quicker and cheaper to make my own arrangements to have the software delivered. It is a joke. Add my name to any case you want to file.
Posted by Huw | March 20, 2007 2:41 PM
My order was "approved" back in mid-January. In mid-February, I received an e-mail from Moduslink saying I would receive my upgrade in early March. Now I just got an email saying it would be another 4-6 weeks. This is total bs! I oughta just go out and buy a copy then return my upgrade for a refund, but considering how much of a joke Moduslink is turning out to be, I probably won't even get it before Christmas!
Posted by Mike | March 20, 2007 4:45 PM
Mike, it won't necessarily be another 4-6 weeks. That is Moduslink's generic answer anytime (and I do mean ANYTIME) you e-mail them.
I finally spoke with someone high up in HP's support. Once I get them my COA, they are gonna hopefully kick some butt and I will have this before the next Windows OS comes out.

I have my status "Order Sent to Back office" for more than 2 weeks. I wonder anybody who brought a Acer in Canada or anywhere got their upgrade disk yet.
so far on other forums, I saw ppl who have HP, thinkpad and even upgrade coupon got their disk. However, I don't see any one who has Acer got their copy.
Posted by K.C. | March 22, 2007 12:03 AM
Like everyone else I am totally exasperated with this. My order status on their website said 'shipped' last Monday and my card had been debited. After waiting 9 days I emailed them to query. They emailed back to say they would let me know when it had shipped????
I emailed back to ask why their website reported it shipped and they replied that they were unable to track it. I have just replied to ask them what the hell they mean.
Posted by Phil | March 22, 2007 9:37 AM
I purchased my HP NX9420 in October 2006, my COA and POP both validated order still states delivery time 4-8 weeks it is absolutly unacceptable and we should start a petition and demand the charges are refunded and we actually do get (eventually) Vista for free. UK
Posted by Steve | March 22, 2007 5:52 PM
This is why companies outsource - so that when things go wrong, they can deflect the blame and point fingers at others. What are we supposed to do? Boycott Moduslink? What are those of with "free" upgrades supposed to do? Ask for our money back? Moduslink sucks. Microsoft sucks. HP sucks. Everybody repeat after me: Class Action NOW! Class Action NOW!
Posted by Hugh | March 22, 2007 10:43 PM
Moduslink & Microsoft should be audited on this shoddy
free upgrade scheme!
Logically the upgrade is a simple mail order set-up.
But making extra illegal profit is Moduslink's motive.
In most cases the free Vista upgrade has no shipping fee ($0) but Moduslink will ask for a shipping fee. So they save the normal postage plus receive a cut of the express shipping.
So this only adds to their confusion with taking orders. I hope competitors will make a stronger presence as an alternative to Microsoft in the future.
Posted by NAF | March 23, 2007 9:23 AM
according to your web page no monies off until shipping date my cheque cashed bank confirmed on the 6th march 07 but still no shipping date and my order changed from order recieved to COA/POP VALIDATED?
Posted by williamcrombie | March 23, 2007 1:02 PM
update had vista installed although it took them 2 days instead of the required 3 hrs , got it home then had to install all drivers myself , that took another hour and half (should have done it all myself ) but touch wood everything is working ok now , i must admit , it does look a hell of alot better than xp and seems to run smoother , hope all you guys and girls dont have much longer to wait for your discs
Posted by neil | March 23, 2007 4:45 PM
What I find most troubling about all this is the fact that there is absolutely nothing, and I mean NOTHING, posted on either the Microsoft homepage or the manufacturer's website (in my case, HP) regarding the delays, let alone (God forbid) an apology to customers who purchased a computer under the assumption that they would receive an upgrade to Vista in a timely manner. "Wow" is right.
Posted by Vinnie | March 23, 2007 11:39 PM
well i was also having the problem not knowing if i had completed the process or something was missing, but finally they sent me a email saying that my CD has been shipped and should get it in 4 weeks, so hopefully its nearly there :)

Hey billyboy (previous poster),
I am in Canada, and I bought an Acer Laptop, and an Acer desktop on Jan 9th. Still no upgrade yet. billyboy posted a link to a "horror story", and while I was reading it, I had to laugh out loud because it was like I had written t. The exact same thing happened to me, and it is still going on today. My order status as of right now is "Order Received". What the hell does that mean?????
Anyway, My days of waiting are over, sort of, because I just plunked down $299 + tax for Vista Premium, and I figure both copies of the upgrade I get (in the year 2011) from those jagoff aholes at Moduslink will be sold on Ebay to recupe some of the cost.
Screw you Moduslink
Posted by Jason | March 25, 2007 3:47 AM
I bought an Acer laptop with XP Home on it, in December. I decided to wait at least past February to order my "half-price" express upgrade as I had already bought an OEM copy of Vista Home Premium for my desktop. I already have all the device drivers downloaded from Acer's website.
The price quoted on the early screen of the moduslink site said the cost would be £46.80 plus p&p. Fine, sounds a bit cheaper than an OEM copy, I thought.
The other day I decided to order it as there was not long left on the offer. After going through the registration process I saw that the actual price was £46.80 + VAT for the DVD, £12.03 + VAT for p&p (what are they sending it in, a milk crate?!) coming to £69.13 altogether - almost exactly the price of an OEM copy!
I immediately cancelled the order and am going to get another OEM copy for my laptop on Monday. I'm not waiting forever for something I can get for the same price right now.
Posted by Steve | March 25, 2007 5:27 AM
Modus-Link what a disgrace, I couldn't get through to them on the phone when I wanted to place my order, I used the web order service instead. A week back they sent me an email to say my order has shipped and say I should receive it in 3 weeks. 3 weeks from Europe? I'm in the UK I send parcels to europe and my customers receive them in 3-4 days. Why do they have a company like Modus link doing this for them, why don't microsoft do it themselves? Another thing is when you input your address it's a lil weird because of the input fields they have, like most sites theirs doesn't change the fields when you select UK. Disgrace, New Laptops now have Vista on them from purchase date, mine is stil running XP.
Posted by Dharmesh | March 25, 2007 4:13 PM
I have been unable to find
a real person to email about
MODUSLINK's failings. They
tell me my Vista Upgrade has been shipped. They also tell me it will take four to six weeks to arrive. DUH!
Did they ship it by Pakistani mule? We jump through Microsoft's and the manufacturers hoops all the time, now we have to be insulted by MODUSLINK as well!
PHOOEY on them all!
Posted by Joe Black | March 25, 2007 8:45 PM
I am quite surprised to see all these complaints as I didnt have a single problem with getting my free copy of Vista, I guess I must be one of the lucky ones.
Posted by Emma | March 26, 2007 5:32 AM
You are indeed lucky Emma.
Just like most of Microsoft's
software, it works sometimes.
For most of us here we will
have to wait for Moduslink's
Version 2.0+ or later for Free Vista Upgrade Registration!
Hopefully, before they have to
do a major rewrite to get it
right.

I am SO FRUSTRATED and appalled - i have sent the receipt scan to them 3 times since Jan 2 - NOW ( march 27 ) they write and say that they can only accept it as a pdf file rather than a simple JPG attachment. Its 4 months since you validated my order and still they write and have asked THREE TIMES for your their own reference COA number!!
Its disgrace to the industry and I wish PCW would put it on their front page.
Has anyone had their upgrades through?
Posted by NICK | March 27, 2007 3:10 PM
I'm still waiting as well.
I did receive the office 2007 Upgrade awhile back but the Vista Business DVD was supposedly shipped two weeks ago yesterday...according to our favorite M$ vendor, Moduslickus...sorry, couldn't resist.
Somebody above was trying lessen Moduslink's blame by assigning some of it to the computer companies...that's not a factor...at all.
I'm in the US and ordered OEM software from NewEgg for a system I built for my wife's business. We're still waiting on our copy just like all the HP, Toshiba and Dell buyers are.
Microsoft severely underestimated the number of "Express Upgrades" and stated that in their end of year/first of year earnings reports. Moduslink is just the lame excuser for their and M$'s incredibly BAD performance and refusal to respect their customers.
What goes around, comes around Mr. Ballmer.
Can we all say Ubuntu?

I have my status "Order Sent to Back office" for 3 weeks. I sent them email asking them why my order "stuck" in the same stage there. I got a reply back from them saying that my order is processed and Acer(Canada) will send their order out in April.
After I got their email, I check my online order again and find that my order status changed from "Order sent to Back office" to "COA/POP validated".
I fell into an dead loop. Anybody have simular situation as me?
Posted by K.C. | March 27, 2007 8:56 PM
I ordered my "free" copy of windows vista business on 13th February, when I went to confirm my order it came up with an error page. I wasn’t sure if my order had gone through so I tried to put it through again, it wasn’t having any of it. So I called up the idiots at moduslink, that really didn’t know anything about the order, how long it was going to take or when the money would be taken from my account, they kept saying another department deals with the orders she just knew what she had on the screen in front of her, which made me think why am I talking to you then and not them. Anyway she told me that the order went through and everything was “fine”. I then went onto the order checking facility on the site and at first things seemed to be going quite well my order was received and confirmed within a week. My order status then changed to COA validated after 2 weeks and about 2 weeks ago it changed to POP/COA validated, so I was happy to see that things were moving, even though it was at a slugs pace. I have checked it today (28th March) and it now says “order sent back to office”. Why have they done this, they keep me waiting 6 weeks exactly and then decide to f**k me around. What is moduslink, they’re an absolute joke. I knew that the order was going to take 4-8 weeks, which is pathetic really unless they have chimps for employees then I can understand the delay. Also £13.99 shipping and handling, where is this company based, the f**king south pole or something. I’m going to give it till the 10th April that’s 8 weeks and if I haven’t got my upgrade by then I’ll probably give in and do what they want me to do and buy a full price copy, but ill probably get an OEM copy. I'm not paying them full price when I was entitled to it for free.
Good Luck everyone, your gonna need it.

I AM NOT HAPPY -- BUT I CAN NOT COMPLAIN!!
the day after thanksgiving -- BLITZ (BLACK FRIDAY) I bought Emachines W3506 for $150 -- course it came with the upgrade option and i faxed off my POP back in december --
during all that --- i NEVER had to give out my Credit card # --- there is no shipping charges -- and even though i had regular windows XP -- i got the VISTA HOME PREMIUM comming
to sum this up -- yes maybe i just one of the lucky few -- yes moduslink takes it time but does state 4-8 weeks from time your POP is validated.
yes moduslink finally said it shipped off my free with no shipping charges PREMIUM edition yesterday (just under the 8 weeks since VISTA RELEASED!!
when it arrives...... will prolly wait 2 months or so to upgrade my current windows xp ... like others scared to install untill SP1 comes out.
i see many ppl complaining.... and i would too..... but maybe i had more luck cause it was a EMACHINES unit and not a HP or something.... its good to hear that Dell apoligized too.
OVER all i am happy ..... added another 512mb ram and 256mb vid card for VISTA when it does come. -- the emachines W3506 is not a bragging fast machine... but for the $150 price cant bitch
--------------------------
for those having problems..... go to the store where you bought your unit at --- show them your frustration and tell them the only reason why you bought that unit was for the Vista FREE upgrade --- if they dont give you your $$$ back --- they might give you a vista upgrade for free @ the store.(specially places like Wal-Mart or Best-buy )
or maybe they will upgrade your purchase to a unit with Vista already @ no extra charge !!!
it wont hurt to ask and be honest about your frustration!!
------------------------
anyways..... yes moduslink is slow... wish it was faster...... again i cant bitch cause did not buy a $2,000+ unit in hopes for vista....... i only paid $150
-----------------
G'luck everyone...... you might need it...... i did not need it..... but luck came to me anyways.
still waiting for mail.... but atleast i got a tracking # from https://tracking.mailexpress.biz/
----------
and YES --- i agree -- i am not on MS side at all....... MS should have used another company other than moduslink

WELL DONE MODUSLINK!!
Here is a bit of praise for the company for once.
I ordered my Vista upgrade in early January after buying a HP laptop in late December. The registration process went smoothly and I emailed my proof of purchase the next day. I got a quick reply from Moduslink to say all was ok and that my card would be charged when they despatched my upgrade disc.
They sent me an email to tell me they had shipped on the 7th March and the disc arrived today.
OK 2 months wait after launch date is no fun, BUT I can now install Vista and know that the updates since launch date will solve all the problems that other users will have had to put up with for the past 8 weeks!!
I may have felt differently if I had major problems I suppose but if you take into account the number of discs they were sending out, I think that Moduslink are doing a good job.
At least we were offered the chance to upgrade!!!
:-p

Seems I was a litle harsh toward moduslink in my last comment. I have now read my order form whislt in a good mood and fully awake and realised that my order status is "order sent to back office" and not order sent back to office. So hopefully now the money should be coming out of my account and a delivery date given soon. So moduslink I apologize for my mistake but i am stil angry about the ridiculus amount of time that people have to wait and the amount of shipping and handling that you are charging. This was supposed to be a free upgrade and I really wouldnt have minded paying if I had my disks within a month of ordering and some sort of information, like a builitin board on the website to let us know whats goin on, or even an email would be nice. I am seriously thinking of getting in touch with trading standards to make a claim for my money back, i know its only £13.99 but the delivery cost counts for less than a 1/4 of that amount and i dont think the way they've "handled" this is worth the the rest. They must be making a profit out of that fee. I feel sory for the people who put there orders in before the release date, if you have not received your upgrades yet this must be driving you wild, theres nothing worse than waiting. Lets hope all the bad press forces them to react and start getting on with it.

I think Moduslink is doing a very bad perfomance.
So much time to recive Vista dvd.
It's supposed we're living at 2007.Mailing should be more efficient.

I would also agree with the fact that although it has been a long wait, it might be worth the wait if there are going to be alot of updates to fix a lot of problems. i ordered my disk on the 24th march, and already have POP/COA validated. i put on high importance. i also sent it a second time to the information and support center asking about my status sneakily. this seems to work.

Has anyone actually receieved their copy yet. Mine supposedly shipped March 12th but it hasn't showed up yet. I had an email from moduslink support saying shipping would be 6 weeks - but is that the entire process or 6 weeks after despatch to my front door.
Poor show from Microsoft - they should better evaluate suppliers before selecting them for such a huge task.

To Anton who wrote "Well Done Moduslink", I have three words for you: get bent moron. I mean, how much volume do you think Amazon does in a day? Do they take an entire month to process an order? Do they give shipping estimates of 2-3 weeks? You're an idiot. You've got people out there who still haven't been able to post their order, who have phantom charges on their credit cards, and you're congratulating them? And as far as your "at least we were offered the chance to upgrade", don't make it sound like it was some generous offer because a) the only reason they did it was because with Vista being released post-Christmas, manufacturers wanted to avoid a slow holiday season and b) considering we live in a technology age, taking two months to slap a stamp on a box is utterly ridiculous. Again, you are a moron.

I bought my shiny new HP notebook in the middle of Jan 07 - I telephoned Moduslink after finding it difficult to log on to their web site? - HP got me the telephone number after 25 minutes of holding on? - the number they gave me was wrong!!! - telephoned again (HP) got another number - registered with Moduslink and posted a copy of my purchase invoice to them - success - by 7th Feb 07 all approved and ready for despatch per Moduslink - they said it would be 2-3 weeks - I was fuming - that was then!!! this is now! 30th March 07 some 8 weeks later and the web site still says ' awaiting despatch' check in 2 to 3 weeks - what is going on? HP I have contacted 5 times - they are not interested in the slightest - moduslink are unable to answer their calls!!!!
Microsoft- u have delayed the launch - it should have been straight forward - Bill Gates shame on you - Sack Modus link - HP - Pull your finger out and do some serious appologising to your loyal customer base - .....
I am seriously saddened that HP, and Microsoft really seem to not care in the slightest over this class A cock up - I think the postal charges should be waived at the very least......
Wish there was a serious alternative to Microsoft but alas there isnt and they know IT.
One very frustrated and disgruntled Microsoft user.....

I see exactly what all of you guys are angry at, as I am in a similar boat to yourselves.
I placed my order back at the end of March, and payment was sent off on the 8th of March. While I understand it is a long way to go yet, I have just had an email from ModusC**ts telling me that they havn't received a payment from my bank.
1) It clearly states that you cannot pay by bank transfer if you are living in a different country to what is listed (I live in the UK),
2) If I were to pay by bank transfer it would cost me £35,
3) I paid by F***ING POSTAL ORDER!
Postal orders are easy clearing and they are saying they havn't received a bank transfer I never even set up. Something is really going wrong here somewhere. I just sent them a letter threatening them with legal action.

I placed my order on the web Jan. 6 and still haven't received my copy of Vista. I've experienced the inane email responses (as well as somewhat more intelligent responses), but no one can tell when (or even if) I will ever receive my copy of Vista. I am glad that some of you finally got yours, but I notice that mine was placed before many of yours (I emailed all required documentation the same day and it was "validated") so I am really at a loss as to why I don't have mine yet. Is it lawsuit time?

Well I offically hate Microsoft!! And ModUSLink.com can go suck an egg! These guys are the rudest people I have ever talked ot in my life. I tried for 3 days to register my OEM software for the upgrade and had no luck. What I don't get is my paperwork and their site both say, and I quote "The last day to place an order ON THIS SITE is March 31, 2007". Well they decided to close it down on midnight of the 30th! Huh??? A day early shut down? I even checked my paperwork and it says the same dang thing. So I call and get bounced all around Microsoft, 4 CSRs and then to get someone who has english as a second language who has no idea. Great! So this last CSR proceed to tell me that the main page shows the 30th is the last day and thats final. I tried explaining that someone screwed up and if they would look at the terms & conditions.....This is where I got cut off and walked all over on by "Lashana". This CSR or whatever she was proceed to control the call and be very irate with me. I asked for a supervisor who knew what was going on, sorry not available. But here's your runner up prize...they will have a supervisor call me back before the end of the day. Ya right! Not holding my breath for that one! Needless to say they are trying to screw a lot of people over by closing it off a day early probably due to the fact that they are ill prepared and Microsoft had no clue so many would request this thing. Duh! Free upgrade software...what moron didn't think there would be a rush or demand for it. Bill would be stupid to retire now. Now I'm just wondering how many other people got the shaft. On one final note, the 1-800-MICROSOFT number when you call it will not let you connect a 2nd time due to call volumes. You may get in but it disconnects you as soon as it recognizes your number thanks to caller ID I'm guessing. I had to call my phone company to verify after several failed attempts. It wasn't until I tried with my 2 home lines and then finally mine and my wifes cell phone.I was only able to connect once per line for each. Borrowed my neighbors phone once too. Tells ya how many times I had to call. Just an FYI I called them 7 times to try and get anyone to help me. One girl did mention there was a problem with the site but we got cut off because I am assuming she didn't know how to use a phone. That was call number 4. Linux here I come!!!

Im in a similar situation to Andrew Scott posted above. I received an email a couple of days ago from Moduslink stating there was a ‘problem’ with my payment. I say ‘problem’ since I know for a fact there is nothing wrong with my debit card since in the past week I have made purchases with Amazon.co.uk and Argos. Anyway, Moduslink have demanded that I pay them the shipping fee within 10 days via bank transfer otherwise my order will be cancelled – essentially a threat. I ordered way back on the 15th Feb by the way. I have spoken to my bank and to a relative who works in another bank, and both have said that to do the transfer to the account ModusLink have specified will incur me a bank charge in excess £20!! ModusLink can go to hell if they think im paying more in bank charges than the actual shipping fee itself when Im certain the payment ‘problem’ is at their end. I have tried calling ModusLink, typically theyre closed for the weekend but I will try and get through first thing on Monday morning. Ill let you know what happens whilst in the mean time I write a very angry letter to Microsoft UK about this shambles they promoted.

This is beyond a joke! MugUsLink are unhelpful and not very inconsiderate. I have been waiting for 3 months now and their is still no sign of my order status changing even after several calls and e-mails to them.
IVE HAD ENOUGH, ITS NOT AS IF I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO RATHER THAN CHASE THESE C***TS AROUND FOR A DVD!
WHO THE **** AT MICROSOFT CHOOSE THESE ONES TO DO THE UPGRADE SCHEME!

Time for legal action and Ive been informed I have a case, ModusLink T&C:
ModusLink will endeavor to deliver all Windows Vista products within sixty days of the later of (a) release of the product and verification, (b) order placement and confirmation, and (c) verification of the order.
Been 65 days for me, lawyer will be on the ball tommorow.

Managed to get through to ModusLink on the phone and explained about the non payment email I received and the demand for an immediate bank transfer of the shipping fee. The bank details in the email were wrong - you need to knock off the last two zeros of moduslinks sort code and that should then allow the transfer to go ahead as normal without incurring any additional bank charges. What a carry on - 30 mins on hold!
One thing I did notice reading the terms and conditions was that the upgrade programme was terminated on 31st March and so no new orders can be placed. Therefore, if they still insist they have received no payment from me and cancel my order then Im going to be in a position where I cannot re-order at all!

Just spoke to Moduslink as I recieved the email asking me to make a bank transfer. The lady said they sent out the email to everyone by accident. Idiots!

i have to say, i am quite happy with my FREE(HAHAHA)upgrade. i ordered on the 24th march, sent pop 26th march, POP/COA validated on 28th march, and today(3 Apr) status changed to order approved. it seems i have missed out the stage saying order sent to back office. still no sign of a shipping date. does anyone know what the AWB# part means? anyway, jason i think moduslink might have been lying to you when they said they sent the bank transfer email to you because i havnt got one. maybe im just one of the lucky ones that got rushed through!!!
Posted by chris | April 3, 2007 7:11 PM
Where is my order!! I sent a check in and 2 weeks after I get an email saying my Upgrade should arrive!!! Another 2 weeks after I get another email telling me to ring up my bank to transfer the money.
Posted by matt | April 3, 2007 7:38 PM
What should happen when I ring up my bank!! Will I recieve the order or what!
Posted by matt | April 3, 2007 7:40 PM
Me and my sister both have a Laptop and we sent in one check to Moduslink for our "Free Upgrade" I have recieved emails confirming the order including the above, but my sister hasn't and all it says when she checks here order is "COA Validated" What should I do? Contacted ModusLink saying what has happened to our order and they said it should be sent soon BUT I am the only person that has had luck in the order process even though we sent in the order numbers, reciept and everything they asked for.
